I made pandemic models in college. I'm not that bright and it's relatively easy to do. You can make models say anything you want, but it's also easy to continuously tweak them to line up with real world data. I don't know why this wasn't done, especially with countries spending billions every year on pandemic responses. I'd really like to know what type of work people have been doing, especially with all of the fine grain data that is available these days. I've been existing in a state of complete disgust for the last 3+ years. I'd like to think it is incompetence, but I have a hard time believing anyone is that incompetent.

Yes. I made disease computer models in college. This is beyond incompetence. With incompetence, you are never wrong 100% of the time. Given the majority of deaths were in nursing homes and of the very sick and elderly (known very early on), of course lock-downs would not make a difference.
