@stop_and_smell_the_roses Yeah. You can usually get around tis bt changing the sort by filter on top, but even explaining this gets X'ored out

I was a professional mathematics engineering modeller for a few decades. Not that I ever paid attention to these things, but I think that was my official job title/description. You can make a model say anything you want. The trick is to make it match reality as closely as possible. In the case of pseudo science (because there is no control, per Karl Popper) you start with your conclusion and model to it

You don't even need a computer. This 'modelling' was done 150 years ago, Lyapunov, Gompertz and can be done on a napkin and calculator. I did this in grade school on a C64. Maybe I'm some super genius wunderkind, but i doubt it

I only have a lowly bs in math, but it's absolutely model-able. I was modeling this type of stuff in grade-frigin-school on my commodore64. I have a hard time thinking of anything simpler. This is the thing you learn on day one of an ODE class. It really pisses me off how simple it is. It's not rocket science (and I would know). It's not complex n(t)=Co Exp[r0 t] tells you how many people are infected by what date, when herd immunity will be reached, what it will look like and when the pandemic will end. You only need to know r0 and time to infectious from being infected and death rate. ughf. So pissed thinking about it. I've spent more time on this reply than it took me to calculate all these things in an '20. And I'm a dimwit. Sure you can do more, but why?

@JohnHughes2002 why don't my replies show up. there are half a dozen missing.

I have a friend, relative of friend actually who had a stroke immediately following V and they developed clots in their liver. Last I heard they have some condition with the "main portal vein"(?) (in the liver). I haven't asked for too many details.

Modelling pandemics is about the simplest thing you can do. I don't get it. I was literally doing this on a commodore 64 in grade school. We did this a lot in my math degree and is learned in the first lesson if ODE. You don't even have to model anymore, it was all solved 100 years ago. It's so frustrating trying to get people to understand this. There should be more people speaking up. 99% of everything you need to know is modelled by

In the 1940's many people warned that this is what fascist do

Wouldn't be the first time. It's what they do
