@chrischillingworth4812 I hated them all and was never a big scifi fan, though I did like explosions in space 😂 When you start reading things like hg wells and about hermetic religions and philosophies, you can see where all of these themes come from. There are real religions who hold these eschatological beliefs and destinies. The Island of Dr Moreaux and The Time Machine are about eugenics and in the later how the elite will help the masses return to an idyllic Garden of Eden after living in underground bunkers through WW3. This is the same desire that Marx wrote about in his Marx's Economic and Philosophic Manuscripts of 1844 All of this is explained in Wells' The Open Conspiracy .
