  6.  @nowaskmehow  Why was the study put out so fast? Why did they use fake data? What's the motivation? Why isn't that being investigated? I used to take chloroquine when I lived in Tanzania and don't understand the mania around discrediting it. From math (game theory) perspective, just say it doesn't work and move on. It's not going to kill you, if it's not effective people will naturally stop using it.

  10.  @nowaskmehow  That's the real wierd part. I knew about some chloroquine studies years before covid and was mailing papers to people in feb of last year before anyony had heard of it. I'm not a dr and thought it weird giving people parasite drugs for the bird flu (sars 1, years ago) so looked into why. I don't remember the reason, if any, just that they were doing it. Then I wondered why it wasn't being at least tested on cv. All of a sudden out of nowhere, there was a grassroots campaign against it two months later. Strange people being against a drug a week before they never heard of it. I was like wtf...

  12.  @fritsbakker4042  It's not just they know very well, it's that there is no vaccine with an alternative treatment. The vaccines are experimental and can only be used under emergency use authorization (EAU) if there is no alternative. At least in the US. You can't use both, it is not an option and would have to wait for full approval.

  14.  @nowaskmehow  I didn't follow the going ons with that story very closely, I mainly remember being at my parents house and they were watching some lady whose husband had been prescribed it and the tv lady went hysterical screaming that the drs were trying to kill her husband. It was kinda shocking, then I mentioned to my mom that I took chloroquine when I lived in Tanzania, then my mom yelled at me. I just remember the whole incident as being very bizzare. I'm not an epidemiologist, but I did study it a lot in college and noted to a friend early on in Feb of last year that I though people were doing hoaky stuff with the way numbers were reported. And don't get me started on the worldwide responses. It was nothing like what I had studied and nobody was making any sense. Very creepy.
