@miles6910 Yes, but I distinctly remember reading about these at the time because I was curious if they were related to the vaping deaths when trump wanted to ban vaping. I have modeled disease spread before and so am probably a little more vigalent on this than most things.

@miles6910 In a whopping 5 minutes (sacasm) of internet searching, I only found one mention of of the term "mystery pneumonia" prior to 2019, back in 2003. It's much morefrequent since then

@miles6910 I'm just saying that 'mystery pneumonia' was widely pubilcized for the first time in 2019 along with vaping deaths. I on;y spent 3 minutes looking, but found only 1 reference to 'mystery pneumonia' before 2019 and that was in 2003.

@miles6910 Covid wasn't tracked until late january or february. Spread and mortality are not that high until winter and could have been written off as flu in younger people and pneumonia in older. The overall mortality is in line with a bad flu season. Just an idea.
