Clinton's education advisor advised schools to not teach critical thinking an instead rely on peers and trusted sources. Morely Winograd on millenials
3
@acmhfmggru You don't need computer technology to write to the mind. Politicians have been doing it for millennia.

I have been to many places that do not have enough electricity for hot water, much less electric cars. I don't see how this is even remotely a possibility for anyone not living in a highly developed country. And I don't know the status is now, but know that a few years ago large parts of the world have no electricity service at all.
3
@santiagopuentep Over the last 100 years, 98% of the value of the dollar has been inflated away. People don't understand compound exponential growth. It's not noticeable until the end.

The absolute most censored thing on youtube is discussion about ancient esoteric religions. I wasn't even interested in these things, but noticed some historical patterns and censorship around talking about them. It could be that yt wants people go on a wild goose chase?

I used to be a shuttle engineer. I used to find them amusing, but now getting a little concerned with the level of innumeracy and scientific illiteracy. PDB needs to get the guy on who claims that we're living in a dark age.

@jeltoninc.8542 Pre WW1. Probably the cause of it too

Why would it be fake, we had the hardware to do it? And you can verify that the hardware is exactly what would be needed yourself if you have some sort of technical skill. Eg, we have microsoft flight simulator and it very closely tracks the real thing. Likewise, you have open source programs like kerbal space that accurately model the physics just like msfs. The easiest and most definitive way to 'disprove' the moon landings would be to show the error in the sourcecode. It would be very very easy to do

Didn't they pay CNN to produce it?

@finish_my_projects It's all religious beliefs

The biggest challenge has always been the political will. Even at the time, going to the moon never got above 50% support at it's peak.

@tinamarie77123 The moon has a lot of Gravity. All matter does. You can compute the field strength yourself (F=GMm/r^2)> I learned this in grade school.

I have a friend with relatives from Tierrasanta that escaped a couple of years ago. It seemed really nice when I visited, but that was 20 years ago

@mbergamin16 I've been convinced for a long time that we're already there. And the more I study it, it's the only thing I see. I think humanity is screwed.
