  2.  @kennethvalbjoern  In the US comedy was huge and everywhere growing up in the 80's. My friends had Steve Martin and Monty Python records, music was also huge. Life had a soundtrack to it. When I went to Russia, I think there was one radio station that played 24/7 classical music. It was ok, but no other option. It was a common joke/trope hat the USS did not have comedy except for that yakov smirnov guy
