  1.  @hi_tech_reptilezz  I'm an engineer, not civil though. I did have to take a couple CE classes on structures of materials. Bricks are strong and meant for compression. Spanning a gap causes tensile stresses along the bottom edge. A real test would put a bar across the top to distribute the load and place the brick on a solid surface. This is meaningless.
