One day the president of the company wrote a letter to all of the employees urging them to write letters to congress to open up trade with china. I remember one guy down the hall did and got and posted the thank you reply letter he got from Clinton on his office door. Less than a year later he was laid off. I don't think the company exists anymore. Glad I saw the writing on the wall.

Critical thinking and questioning are met with resistance, deferment, and or punishment. Cults are totalistic. Hostility, sanction, or aggression when leaving the group is brought up. Formal ceremonies and rituals take place to indoctrinate and reaffirm beliefs communally. “Love Bombing" or bipolar behavior. Food, work, and social activity are monitored or controlled. A sense of “community" is extremely valued above the comfort and desire of the individual. Important decisions are influenced or made by the people in charge.
