  1.  @webx135  If you study history, most don't, the framers of the constitution were very afraid of and went into great detail the problems of democracy. Namely, they devolve rapidly into dictatorships with stronger and stronger 'strong men'. I believe Jefferson wrote extensively on the subject analyzing previous governments in detail. Other historians have written about this pattern of decay. Until I see better analysis that shows otherwise, I would be wary of any changes.
