  1. The first thing I learned about libertarians from a computer club that I was in in grade school was that they supported open borders and the legalization of drugs. On the few occasions that I've checked their party platform since then, they've always supported open boarders. I always assumed that this is why the democrats didn't like them since they seemed to agree on almost everything else (the democrats always hated borders. And wars too, but that's a different topic). And before I get flamed for how wrong I am, I don't really care and never delved deeply into it, but I do know from superficial investigation that they support open boarders
