  1. Every metric has fallen off a cliff since the establishment of the Department of Education. It's almost like it has had the exact opposite of its implied goal.

  3.  @lindapryor3747  I bet I could teach ANY grade school class with no books. Maybe a whiteboard, laser printer is all that would be necessary. Bonus points if students have access to the internet. I don't get math books, just print out a few spreadsheet of 3+4x5 = ? problems and have students fill them out. Assign book for reading, maybe a book a week. What can you learn from an $85 textbook, i's idiotic.
