  1. I remember cooking for my family when I was in the first grade. In the mornings I had to go out, get the chicken eggs, fry them for breakfast, pack my own lunch for school (and no I never got anything like "lunchables" or snack pack potato chips), the come home and wash the dishes (usually under threat). Also in the first grade, we made donuts in class from canned biscuits and a deep fryer, probably highly illegal today. I had a roommate after college who couldn't heat soup in microwave🤦‍♂
