  1. Using debt as money forces inflation. The only way to pay off a debt is through more debt. Being exponential growth, this is not noticed at first and leads to massive growth like starting with a drop of water in a pool and doubling every minute. At a 2% annual growth rate, it takes about 50 years to become noticeable on a human scale.
