Hyphenated-American became a thing in the late 80's. I remember debating at the time we would end up exactly where we are today

@URProductions As TIKhistory put it, it's a religious document, not an economic treatise. I've been going down the very deep rabbit hole here. I was kinda new to this, but started digging into the origins of socialism a year ago and there were so many historical similarities. Everything clicked and made sense. He does WW2 videos. Check out his video on the real religion behind N- soc and Voegelin's Science, Politics and Gnosticism . I think Ayn Rand sadly missed the boat here

From the EVI: Voegelin dedicated his life to the study of widespread political violence and the devastation that results when totalitarian ideologies that closely resemble religions foster the notion that pursuing the creation of utopias on Earth is achievable and worth any cost, including death. Science, Politics and Gnosticism great book

@kimobrien. Then why were the upset when foreigners moved in, racism?

I believe The anointed, or the elect, is how gnostics refer to the people who are meant to lead them to utopia.

You cannot cure a religion

TIL. As an aside, steel has always been my favorite metal. I have to get one of those.

@Make_America_Native_Again We can see how well not holding up property rights worked for the Native Americans

Socialism is not an economic system. Socialism is a religion posing as an economic system. In gnostic religions, the elite have the secret knowledge to guide mankind to salvation. I have to find it, but Marx originally intended the manifesto to be a religion, but was talked out of it by I think Engles. Scientology is another gnostic religion, and as Hubbard said, that the only way to make a million dollars was to form your own religion.

The banks need something to spend money on to avoid deflation

@mikez4760 The Nordic countries are all capitalist. The main problem in the West is the fiat money system that enriches the well connected (Cantillon) and necessitates infinite growth. This coincidentally is Marx's model for growth under socialism. Capitalism requires wealth creation, not debt creation. Kissinger said control the money and control the world. You can see all the death and wars the US has had to push to keep this control (fiat reserve).

It's so they can practice their religion and still hang out with all the cool kids without looking like they are following a religion.

Socialism is a gnostic religion masquerading as an economic system. It's not supposed to "work" in its supposed intent. Maynard Keynes, another gnostic, was an ardent eugenics supporter and said that eugenics is "the most important, significant and, I would add, genuine branch of sociology which exists." The goal of gnosticism is to "progress" man to be god of the Earth and space. These things always go together. For the National Socialists, the perfected Aryan was to rule. For the transhumanist it is the merging of man and machine that s god. The pattern is easy to see when you understand the religion.

(repeating comment I made earlier) From the EVI: Voegelin dedicated his life to the study of widespread political violence and the devastation that results when totalitarian ideologies that closely resemble religions foster the notion that pursuing the creation of utopias on Earth is achievable and worth any cost, including death.
