  3.  @ulfcarlfinnes2820  It takes 3-4 corn plants to provide 1 day of calories. This is about 1,000 plants per year. 1lb of animal feed corn in my state (perfectly edible after nixtamalization) is between $8 and $15/50lb bag which comes out to about $1.20/day. Popcorn is not good for eating (except as popcorn)
