"Hitler vowed that Germany would never again be defeated by a lack of resources. In his unpublished second book, he lamented that “the German people is today even less in a position than in the years of peace to feed itself from its own land and territory.” In 1936, he glowingly spoke of the “incalculable raw materials” in the Urals, the “rich forests” of Siberia, and the “incalculable farmlands” of the Ukraine." --Lebensraum from the USHMM

@Dennis-nc3vw I think more people died in Dresden than Hiroshima and Nagasaki

Most people don’t understand the absolute horror of war
3
@nelcityvintage9234 I dunno... I lived in Hiroshima and knew a lot of people there, including some that lived through the bombing. It's all distant history, especially to younger generations. Hiroshima today is a modern thriving city

@TheJonnyEnglish More people died in Dresden from conventional bombs.

@EricForney-uz4iz Who is the largest foreign funder of American Universities?

Just 63 million people—the "one percent"—took up nine percent of the carbon budget since 1990, research conducted for Oxfam by the Stockholm Environment Institute found. Highlighting an ever-widening "carbon inequality", the analysis said the growth rate of the one percent's emissions was three times that of the poorest half of humanity. Richest 1%'s emissions twice that of poorest 50%: analysis

The US had hundreds of atomic bombs by the time the Soviet Union had their first. The US could have almost effortlessly conquered the world at the time were it so inclined. Its military and manufacturing bases were at their peak and had enough bombs for every major city in the world.

Don't wait for anything or anyone, you can do it yourself now. I did.

Cults viciously turn on members when they decide to leave

It was Italian philosopher Giovanni Gentile who wrote the entry in the Encyclopedia Italiana that said: “Fascism should more appropriately be called corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power.” Mussolini, however, affixed his name to the entry, and claimed credit for it. Antifa seems to go after the well protected government a lot. Maybe they should look at the other unprotected half of that union. Or maybe they are afraid to see where the real power lies.

Protect us from corporations when they take over?

@bruceball2144 cultist. Really. Study a bit about how cults operate. The more you study cults, the more you can see how the constitution was written, consciously or not, to keep them from taking over. I don't know if they knew about cults back then, but were aware of tribalism around political parties

@JamesMorris-l8b ACLU supported the kkk and their right to the antisemitic slurs.

@randygraham926 Most of the people who died in Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings died in fires, not from the bomb blast. Both of my friend's parents lived through the one in Hiroshima, I think they were about 4yo at the time, but lived on the very outer part of the city and were not affected. Japanese cities were mostly comprised of tightly packed wood buildings.

They do. Local police department was sued by a surgeon after he was arrested and the improperly adjusted handcuffs caused nerve damage. I was no raises for them after that.
