Fumfig I've been a chef's assistant here in Paris, France and have cooked a lot in life.  When margarine has gotten on my hands, for example, the only thing which got it off was an equivalent of DAWN detergent.  I wonder how human bodies get rid of that?  Soy messes with hormonal levels and creates fibroids.  Its cultivation has really messed with ecosystems.  Cutting down all those rain forests and other fragile places to grow soy just doesn't sit well with me. Just because a gazillion people have eaten and eat something doesn't mean I want to eat it, too. Finding out what actually goes into what we eat, wear and put on us can be a shock.  You might not be ready to know.

  3. Fumfig I could agree with that.  Cow milk as it's generally sold is bad news.  I have goat or organic horse milk some times during the year.  Also, raw quail eggs.

  4. Fumfig Those famous anti-egg studies in the eighties were lobbied, and they only used powdered, industrially raised eggs.  You don't know that?

  6. iiOcBx I was thinking that, myself ... I sort of wonder how fermented products are categorized, too.  Well, I refuse to eat margarine and I sure won't eat soy, and life without honey, I wouldn't be thrilled with.  It is their choice, however, I say good for them if that's what they want to do.
