When people say, "God bless you," when you sneeze, that is from Saint Gregory.  He was unable to perform last rites for all the people dying of plague, so when he heard them sneeze, he said that as a quickie benediction, because a sneeze meant you'd probably be dead within three days, maximum.  Plague still breaks out periodically.
    6
