That’s not the point. It’s about moving out when you have enough not to live paycheck to paycheck. You do realise in London that a room in a share flat can cost up to £1000?

@crown9413 very true in some areas. I’m 24 and at home, after 3 years of uni. It’s just not viable and makes you poorer/more financially unstable in the long run to move out when you’re paycheck to paycheck and spending 2/3 of it on rent.

@JeffVader maybe, but the huge difference is you’re paying off a mortgage to own a house. Rent is money down the drain. Come on, this is basic stuff.

@JeffVader complete nonsense and non sequitur I’m afraid. When you pay off a mortgage, you own a house. When you leave a rental, you have nothing and the same amount of money is down the drain.

@oldshiny3012 oh the classic “don’t live in London then”. You’ll find ANYWHERE in the south costs the same. Why should I move to some hole in the back of beyond? I want to save and live where I want to live. How about just let young people do that?
