  3.  @JiveDadson  That's certainly the case in the United States but countries like the UK or Australia (where I'm from) "wrack" is derived from "wreckage" which is why it applies to nerves. America rationalised it and yes: "rack" refers to the torture device.

  4.  @virginiatyree6705  Disagree with what? America has grammatical conventions and so do we. As long as one adheres to those conventions, I don’t see the problem. All I was doing was explaining the differences between those conventions.
