  2. You won’t hear many pilots complaining about Hurricanes. They were well liked by their pilots and totally underrated by the Luftwaffe. The tactic might have been to leave the bombers to the Hurricanes but anyone who has read anything about the Battle of Britain - or any battle for that matter - knows that the plan goes out the window as soon as combat is joined. You do what you must and there was a significant number of Bf-109 pilots who, despite their performance and experience advantages, still came to grief at the hands of a well-flown Hurricane.

  3. Sidney Camm was a far more prolific designer than either Reginald Mitchell or Kurt Tank. We shouldn’t even be talking about Spitfires in Hurricane videos. The reverse always seems to apply to the extent that many people aren’t even aware of the Hurricane’s existence.
