Prompt engineering is just a long way of saying that you have to know what questions to ask. You also have to know when you are inserting your own personal biases or desired outcomes into the model. Do you want and accurate answer or do you want to win an argument? I have found AI reasonably useful for a number of things where it did the donkey work for me. I some cases I had to check it and in other cases, where I was asking for things in areas where I have no expertise, I just had to trust it. That’s the risk. It can be extremely useful and the ones who can make it work for them will be the ones who will thrive. But it can never be the boss.
