+Barry Keaton "Hopefully they'll grow up and stop being led like sheep and think for themselves." Since this was largely spontaneous, it appears they already can. The fact that you don't agree with them does not mean that you can think for yourself and they can't.

Kids out on the street protesting because they're genuinely scared, for themselves and for others. Meanwhile, the gun nuts are looking for the enemy lurking within. Liberalism did it, they tell ya. It's a commie plot to take our guns. Nothing to see here folks - just a lot of sad and pathetic losers who can't accept their role in this. Guns didn't solve this. Guns made it possible. You don't need to understand the Second fucking Amendment to see what the problem is. I'm a former shooter and gun owner and I've never seen anything so evil and self-interested as the American gun lobby.

+Dick Welts Oh, blaming the victims now, are we? That's pretty low, even for the gun lobby.

+Dick Welts Where did you get this drivel from? Did you make it up or is it just convenient for you to believe it? America is the only country I could find (and I've looked) where gun ownership has any protection in law. That doesn't stop other first world countries like in Western Europe, the UK, Japan, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand from living well. No talk of gun rights there. Non issue. Even if the Democrats wanted to repeal the 2A - and there's no evidence that it is likely to become party policy - they can't do it without putting it to the people in a plebiscite. So your conspiracy theory falls down right there. Secondly, even if the public elected to repeal the 2A, that does not mean that all guns would suddenly become illegal overnight or that the government would suddenly start collecting house to house or that America would descend into a dictatorship. It just means that gun ownership would no longer be a right but a privilege, like it is everywhere else. Finally, there's nothing in the US Constitution that says you have a right to own and drive a car. Car ownership and driving is well regulated and has penalties for misuse. The government take take that privilege away any time if you break the law. Guns are nowhere near as well regulated.

+Dick Welts "You are too dumb to know that street crime muggings and killings are rampant in Europe, the UK and Mexico" Comparing the UK and Europe to Mexico is a bit rich. The UK is enjoying very low levels of crime at the moment. A few years ago they announced they had experienced their lowest crime rates in 30 years: http://www.theguardian.com/uk/2013/apr/25/uk-crime-falls-official-figures http://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/statistics-explained/index.php/File:Crimes_recorded_by_the_police,_2002%E2%80%9312_YB14.png Your murder rate is 4.88/100K and theirs is 0.91. Your gun murder rate alone is 2.83/100K. "El Salvador most of Central and South America have the strictest gun laws in the world and also have the highest murder rates" Strictest gun laws in the world? What rubbish. They are less strict than in Australia. The difference there is that those places are phenomenally corrupt and gun laws are simply not enforced. "You are full of crap with your anti - gun sissy statistics you Hillary loving traitor." And you're losing the plot because you haven't got a leg to stand on. I'm not a Hillary lover. I'm not even American. The sissy bit was interesting. Let me ask you something: do you think that owning a gun makes you a man or more of a man? Because if it does, you don't need a gun, you need Freudian psychoanalysis. Furthermore, I'm a former shooter and gun owner and I've shot everything you can imagine from black power to a Bren LMG. I've hunted. I've shot pistols too. If anyone is a traitor, it's you. People like you betray the best interests of the country on a daily basis by pretending that your right to own a gun is greater than anyone else's right to life. You're also a seditionist because the gun lobby, as a group, actually believes it has the right to march on Washington and remove a government at gun point. The penalty for that used to be hanging but these days a lengthy prison spell is usually enough.

+Dick Welts Oh goody! You're a racist too! "More of you lying statistics" I can back up all of my claims. You have provided no evidence for yours and they're all bogus. Like I said: the gun lobby lies as naturally as it breathes. "Mexico sure does have the most stringent gun laws in the world, you bloody idiot, it is illegal to even posses one bullet in Mexico." Lies. Stop swallowing convenient BS and learn to read for yourself: http://www.gunpolicy.org/firearms/region/mexico Mexico is in no way comparable to the UK, Europe or any other first-world countries - unless you think it's comparable to the US as well... They have much lower socioeconomic prospects, lower availability of health and education and high levels of corruption. Whole towns are run by drug cartels feeding the insatiable American market. The gun laws just get overlooked. Mexico is nothing like the UK. "Sounds like you live in some slum in Great Britain" Nope but I have lived in the UK, which means I have far more experience of the place than you.
1
+Dick Welts Ahh...personal attacks. The last resort of the truly defeated.
1
+Dick Welts Go ahead and prove your claims that my statistics - which you clearly did not read because the last link was about Mexican gun laws - are false. You can't prove any of your claims and I can prove all of mine. You are wrong at all points and you don't like it. What are you going to do? Call me more names? LOL!! I won't even feel it. LOL!! BTW: I'm Australian and proud of it. I'm also proud of my British heritage as I am of my Scottish, Irish and Belgian. Nothing you can do about that except lose the plot again.
1
+Dick Welts And you're just scared. ROFL!! :D
1
+Dick Welts By the way Dick, I don't like quoting myself but I'll remind you of this: "I'm a former shooter and gun owner and I've shot everything you can imagine from black power to a Bren LMG. I've hunted. I've shot pistols too."
1
+Dick Welts Dick, you have now been intellectually buried. If I were you, I'd think about giving up now because all you've got left is harsh language - and that doesn't win many debates.
1
+Dick Welts What are you going to do about it? Does all this invective make you feel good about yourself? Your irrationality is the worst possible advertisement for unrestricted gun ownership anyone could invent. You have no self control. Who in their right mind would let you have a gun? No telling what you might do. I don't care if you believe me or not. It's your problem, not mine. Meanwhile, you have still provided zero evidence for any of your homilies.
1
+Dick Welts You're hilarious! After a post like that you call me angry? I don't see me calling people names and generally carrying on in such an irrational manner. I just keep posting proof and you keep losing your bottle. You have no self respect. Every post from you is the same and it's not working' Jethro! LOL!!
1
+Dick Welts Still playing the man instead of the ball, eh? I don't now why you think this would offend me but so far, you're the best argument for gun control I've seen in a long time. Keep going because the more people read this the more they will know why people like you shouldn't be allowed to have guns. Ha, ha, ha!!
1
+Dick Welts "That is funny how Australia is getting taken over by Muslims because you are too sissy to have guns," Australians fight with their fists. We walk around the street unarmed at night because we are not afraid. You, on the other hand, hide behind your guns because you're scared.
1
+Dick Welts I don't see a connection between any of those things. You're becoming less relevant. I think you have a problem with your own masculinity/inadequacy or you wouldn't keep using guns as a measure of it. It's not something Australian men measure themselves by. Freud would be all over you.
1
+Dick Welts And you are both irrational and ill-informed and you lack the intestinal fortitude to man up to it. You've shown yourself up for what you are and clearly have nothing of any possible relevance to add to this conversation. Your behaviour is infantile at best and you are the best possible argument for gun control. There's nothing more to be said. You can go now.
1
+xpto41 "they forced students to leave their classes to make this protest. This is the most hypocrite thing ever" What? At fucking gun point? Don't make me laugh.
1
mauserk98bzn44 "Give me the youth and I’ll give you the future. Joseph Stalin!!!" Stalin was actually right about that.
1
+Nathan Lav "Dumb ass people like j noble are the reason we have school shootings." Would you care to explain this?
1
What? So no one should stand up for what they believe in? That's the pro-gun version of rights...
1
+Yung Craka "Stricter gun laws won’t do shit at this point" Stricter gun laws are very popular in my country and work a treat. We have never had a shooting massacre in a school.
1
+etmeyutub "By that time they might actually understand the country rhey live in, its Constitution, and the 2nd ammendment." What about the other 26 Amendments, particularly the First? The gun lobby is only aware of one amendment so maybe it's the gun lobby that needs a civics lesson.
1
+etmeyutub More accurate the other way around.

Yeah, here's an example from the city where I live: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2018-03-22/battlelines-drawn-in-trinity-grammar-haircut-fight/9576926 In short, a popular teacher who did the wrong thing was sacked and the students went on strike. They went to school, stayed within the school grounds but refused to attend any classes. The school's board has now resigned and the only scalp left to claim is that of the principal, Dr Michael Davies. In the four years Davies has been there he has sacked 153 people (very few schools here have that many staff to start with) and another one has been flicked since Brown's sacking. The protests went on for days and the fall out continues.
