@tz8785 Yes but my point is that the U2’s normal flight regime is also its coffin corner. Imagine trying to turn it at its normal cruise speed when the difference between cruise speed and stall speed is a couple of knots IAS. And that’s it’s normal operating environment. I don’t envy those who fly them. They would get unique perspectives on the world but it would be a slightly scary environment to fly in.

⁠ @atomicskull6405 At 70,000 feet the difference between cruise speed, stall speed and maximum speed is very small. I think it’s unlikely that many pilots hand fly the U2. So the U2 is probably difficult to fly in pretty much all of its flight regimes.
