  2. I look at it this way: In the city you can always find help. In rural areas, well, you could more easily disappear and "no one saw anything." Not to mention, a lot of small town police corruption.

  3. Right. And rural folks always paint themselves as a community of one which can be annoying. Like they're so placid and congenial as if "everybody has everybody's back." Only partially true.
