  1. It's beyond cringey when people keep saying "Americans don't want to work" (catching crawfish or growing rice) so the Hispanics that "want to work" are invited to occupy these jobs. It's an erroneous blanket statement to say Americans, particularly our youth, simply don't want to work. Rather consider the TYPE of work they avoid. Who WANTS to pull crawfish in 2024? Especially the younger generations when there are so many other (better) opportunities? Truthfully Mexicans don't "want" those jobs either; they're merely taking whatever job America offers them.
