  1. Not as much as you'd think. The biggest company by revenue in the US, Walmart, only comprises about 2.4% of GDP. Samsung is a staggering 22%. The US has some enormous companies, sure, but it has such an enormous economy you can fit so many of them in and still have plenty of room for everyone else. In SK, the Chaebols and mini-Chaebols pretty much are the economy, to the point where the collective value of everyone else barely matters.
