As long as the US stands as it it is, profiting in private industry off fossil fuels and oil, it's not going to stop or make any substantial change for the environment. As long as the same rich who own these companies continue to have a say in US politics, change is impossible from within.

@0witw047 By being one of the only countries in the world who still uses coal? The US Military is also reportedly the biggest user of CO2 emissions in the entire world. Cut the military budget and get rid of all those unnecessary foreign bases and I bet those numbers would go down massively.

@Cthulhu4President You think your voting system isn't rigged? The Dem party was caught blatantly cheating in the primary with a "mysterious blackout" and "mysterious failing" voting machines. One county official even reported that the DNC had changed their reported numbers. Your voting doesn't mean anything in a country so brazen with corruption. Why do you think the same people who "get elected" often have extremely low approval ratings? The signs are all very clear that the US is not a free democracy.
