I live in Canada so I can tell you from personal experience that Canadians when they look at how the US runs things shake our heads in disgust. It's common sense here to treat people like human beings yet corporations in the US treat workers like slaves and somehow get away with it. If you think Japan is a very work-heavy country you should know on average American workers work almost 200 hours per year more than Japanese workers and get paid less for it.

Unions solve a lot of labor issues look at countries like Canada and Denmark where unions are the norm. Do you see those workers struggling?

That's also because of the massive inflation problems due to economic turmoil within America. You can live off of less than that where I live in Canada.

@Daniea3 No idea what you're talking about. Canada is still one of the most unionized countries in the world. I think it was like 18th or something around there in 2019 last time I checked. I'd also like you to list Canadian based companies that legally exploit workers cause I don't know any. If you're also unaware you can check out the Canadian government website as well as provincial websites that list different workers rights and laws. It's very plainly shown.

@publicutility You mean First Nations? That was 30 years ago. There hasn't been a violent clash with them since and the federal government's actions during those raids was condemned by most of the citizenry.

I largely applaud Bernie but I do think when it comes to playing politics he doesn't push other politicians hard enough. He needs to use his popularity as a sway against the corruption in DC.
