Imagine living in a country where it's a big deal to get a union in 2022. I'm happy for these workers but the fact this is such a big deal just highlights how fucked up America really is.

Part of me is concerned about what the fallout is gonna be here. I really doubt Jeff Bezos and the management of Amazon is gonna just let them unionize without trying to take something away from them.

@dvonzosch461 I just read it on a chart listing from 2000 that said it was 17%. I don't imagine it's gone too far up or down from that point though either way there still an abysmally low number. The highest I saw was Denmark, Norway, and Sweden with around 70% unionized in each.

Just another 2000 or so unionizations to go for America to catch up to Denmark.

Now I believe it's around 17% of the country is unionized.

@hudzgh Until the government enacts proper worker protection laws even a union can only do so much. I'm on the workers side 100% but I also know how evil the rich really are. They'll never just let workers have what they want they'll always try to find loopholes and exceptions to exploit or take advantage of workers, Union or not. We won the battle but the war is far from over.
