Reform have a huge opportunity, but they will have to do what Trump did and attract the open minded and patriotic left and centre too, reheated Thatcherism (which I personally sympathize with) isn't going to bring over the working class. If Farage is smart he will try to merge with the SDP to pull in their gassroots activists and membership organization, and adopt a lot of their "right on social issues, left on economics" policies. You can still be pro (mainly small) business and lower taxes, while also having a strong state *in the areas that matter*, you could abolish every quango, many government ministries etc etc, while still directing a lot of spending to what people care about (law and order, infrastructure etc)
