That's how they managed near total public support for the NATO attacks against Serbia.

As an aside, if you aren't going to go for full extremely heavy armor on vehicles and maximal force protection, wouldn't a better paradigm for future combat against extremely effective infantry anti-armor weapons be large numbers of very fast, very light, very maneuverable, basically zero armor except on the underside vehicles that troops can dismount from in seconds? As opposed to awkward and cumbersome, slow and uselessly armored vehicles.

Seems like extensive drone use is a much bigger force multiplier for the BTG than the brigade combat team. Will deal with a lot of the issues to do with analysis and target selection identified in the paper.

Ukraine had an in-built advantage when they had defences built, and the Russians didn't, both on offence (Russian defenders didn't have the advantage of built defences), and the defence (Russian attackers had to overcome Ukrainian built defences)

I've also seen people suggest that combining AI with gene editing (which will likely happen because humans aren't capable of complex gene editing and possibly never will be) could also be extremely dangerous, because the AI might eventually start gene editing in order to protect its own interests.

Why don't the Russians do something "next level" like building permanent semi-circular raised earthworks to the west of basically every settlement they control? Would be a huge advantage, and even if the settlement was lost, the defences would be useless for the Ukrainians against attackers coming from the East. Basically like a modern version of city walls.
