  17. Just to be clear, he doesn't represent all British people. Until the 1990s gun control was a total non issue in the UK, but a couple of school shootings were used to gin up hysteria and then laws were passed quickly and the public gaslit by the media into going along with it. I don't think Americans appreciate how hard it is to defend gun rights without then being written into a very difficult to amend constitution. We had a right to bear arms in our bill of rights that America's was based on, but because of our unwritten constitution, that right was able to be repealed with a single piece of legislation passed by any government with a simple majority in parliament.
