+armoredp - He actually said explicitly that he prefers when people disagree with him. It means they listen and think, which he values more that advancing any idea of his own forward. That's where the real difference between the two camps seems to be. On one side you have people who believe that we need to be able to discuss freely to figure stuff out, on the other hand you have people who do not believe that the truth is of any real value, so they have no problems with silencing the opposition. Political differences seem superficial to me in comparison. It's the method which really divides here.

+Little Poklonskaya - I was just kidding with this "three books" remark. Of course he's well read, and rather wise. Including the ability to consider himself a novice, which is rare even among wise people. It's just that he tends to refer to few of those books he read quite often. "Beyond Good and Evil" by Nietsche, "Crime and Punishment" by Dostoyevsky and "Achipelag Gulag" by Solshenitsin (or however you guys write this name). He considers those books somehow profusely important, which they may be, in your cultural landscape. But, at the bottom of it all, he's just a guy with an opinion. He should be criticised and contradicted, especially if you agree with his approach.

+Eralun - Not bad, for a guy who apparently read three books. Be aware that his definition of truth migh differ from yours, though... ;-)

"Decisive at first Glantz" - Usually I don't care for puns, but this one is just too good.
