@mikejohn2010 " far right views " It should be covered by freedom of speech. That's exactly what it is for. Anyway, what "far right" views?

If Jordan is like Gandalf, then the truckers are the Riders of Rohan? It very well may be that, but let us remember that the darkest hour is still before us.

@mikejohn2010 He voiced his political opinions, as well as some professional opinions. If you can't say that, you can't basically say anything of importance, hence you do not have a freedom of speech. " ranting about trans " He's a professional clinical psychologist. How come voicing an opinion about current practices is off the table for him? What about people who opposed lobotomy treatment? Were they also violating some unwritten code of ethics? Well, if so, maybe, just maybe, those codes they "violated" were not very ethical, were they? " theories about cultural degeneracy aimed at left leaning people " How come speaking about cultural trends is suddenly off the table too? " yes that would get you thrown out for being unprofessional " Very common practice indeed. In communist Poland , where I grew up! " if you want free speech..resign " How about fighting for it?

I disagree on one account, that risking your life to oppose nazis was extremely rare. During WWII there was around 30 K Jews hiding in Warsaw, which had around 700K population at the time. The ratio is 1/20. Add families and people "who knew" and we can easily double that into 1/10. 1 in 10 people willing to risk their lives and the lives of their families to save some Jewish children (usual customers), that is not rare. That's way more that I'd expect, and of course there were other incentives involved, like simply money. Still, that's a lot. Jordan needs to read nore on Polish opposition to nazi regime.

+IvyMike Bushmann - Do you know what the risk was? The death of your whole family. Not so in the West, so most people don't know. See, it's very unlikely that "you'd be nazi in WWII Germany". Very few people were actual nazis, the rest was partly scared and partly brainwashed into submission, but they never took an active part in all that. The same was under Communism, which I experienced myself. And the ideals of communism at least on the surface look good, but it didn't change much. Most people did not support the regime. They were just forced to stay quiet.

I salute your family.

@KieranFoot I don't understand what you mean.

"Power doesn't lie where it's obvious, and people have more power than they think." Let's hope that this assessment will come out just as true, as his more pessimistic predictions.
