I find it interesting that people who seem to be convinced that the Rome fell because of her decadence, tend to forget that the fall of Rome coincided with the spread of Christianity. Not so convenient any more, is it?

@camelstuds I don't think Christianity was woke. I rather think that decadence, real or imagined, had very little to do with the reasons Rome fell. If so, how come Byzantium survived? They were even more decadent than Rome.
