  1. I don't know how it is today, but just before Corona Uber still made billions of losses. I guess they now think (or have to try because investors are demanding) that they have enough market to push through prices.

  2. The thing with Uber is that it only works profitable (if at all, do they now make profit?) where public transit can also be profitable - and a lot less impactful on the environment. And of course Uber does this by exploiting it's "contractors". If they would be hold to the same rules as taxi companies, they could not work - which tells you how effective Uber really is.

  3. I think of those more in terms of constant village transit. If there is one every 5 minutes less than 5 minutes walk away, you could even use it to "drive" to work.
