@Chris-8047 That's why should be in favor for wind power. A single coal power plant('s polluition) kills mroe birds than all wind power toogether. Not to mention the bird habitats.

@Chris-8047 Why should I make things up? Have you never heard of pollution? Have you any idea how much a coal power plant like that produces? Birds have lungs too, and way smaller ones than we.

@tmbardsen88 The noise is far less than a car street or a kindergarden, especially if it's 1km or even more away. And wind mills in Germany (and we have a LOT of them) kill about 100K birds. Cars and building windows kill millions. Also coal power plants also kill birds (and humans) with their emissions, more than wind mills generating the same energy.

@Chris-8047 lol that would be way too expensive. More birds die by crashing into normal buildings than by getting guillotines by wind mills. Like 100 times more.

@Chris-8047 No. But there are a LOT mroe houses than wind turbines. Wind turbines kill about 100K birds a year. Cars in the millions, houses in the millions. The only problem is the type of bird. But that is why wind mills have to be stopped at certain times of year, when those birds are breeding.

@connectingwings7212 That can't be right. Even if NRW has a law likie this, it would violate federal law. You might have to do a lot of bureocracy though to register your "production", sell it etc.

@drew4716 The problem is the same: How to house people effectivly. The Netherlands are solving that problem. The US not.

@peo4989 Because I don't want to die.

It's unfair to say that public transport does not make a profit. How many public roads do you know that make a profit? And is the cost of cars figured in when calculating it? Because for the cost of a private car you can use any public transport an awful lot of times.

@blackhole9961 That soudns liek the train/road costs woudl even be worse there for roads. suburbia is not known for high traffic on residential raods - and they still need to be build and maintained.
