Weird? That is basically what capitalism is lol. Many rich (and even more want-to-be-rich) hate the poor, but without them they wouldn't be rich.

About as big a surprise as the strange custom of jewish places of worship to have extremely sturdy doors.

If you look at articles today often it is not different. It just is not so blatant for you because you live in that time.

@joenuts5167 Yeah, but that price was forced on them. "We" could just have let them do what they want with their country, right? And don't worry, China has learned from it. Especially the current leader. Most western people still don't realize it - or even know what "Unequal Treaty" means in the context of China. China is in full imperial mode since Xi Jinping (read about his life, it's worth it to understand) and the Chinese Empire will replace the American Empire as the world no1 before 2050.

Let's just say that when Trump won the election I predicted that capitol storming for when he lost the second term. Not any details like the shaman guy of course. But it was not that hard to predict just by looking at what had happened here in Germany a century ago. History repeats until we prevent it. Because people are still the same.

@lumimothmusic Absolutely speaking that is right in some cases. Relativly speaking (to no welfare state) this is completely wrong.
