This is very sad, almost made me burst in tear. It shows no matter what you do, one bad luck can kill the entire momentum and leave you even more backward than where you started.

@mth469 I don't think there's any such example ever in any history. If you're thinking Intel, mind it, Intel didn't become such a giant in a day. Also, mind it, when Intel started, the semiconductor industry was rather nascent, they didn't have to compete with giants to become a giant themselves. Some version of this story is true for every giant in every sector - Ford, Boeing, Google, TSMC, you name it.

@mth469 Yes. But Creative Breakthrough to a Successful Company is a long, arduous and uncetain path. Each months, there are literally hundreds of startups which come up with successful, creative idea, run good business, but is either is crushed by giants, or by the competitors. The success story we hear of, are basically the story of survivors. To be successful you need to move heaven and earth and need all the stars aligned. But to fail, few mistakes and a few bad lucks might be adequate.
