  3.  @fungo6631  That's the idea of Profit optimization, in contrast to profit maximization, which most companies go for these days. A lot of companies has rather sacrificed productivity and loyal customer base to maximize shareholder benefit. Since you are an ardent follower of Bosch like me, I guess you can also confirm that just by looking around.
