  1. Gosh I really am not sure about this. Both science and engineering and architecture are ripe with unintended consequences, wrong assumptions, and cost cutting risk/benefit gambles that go wrong. It is absolute hubris to assume this area is not vulnerable to such things even if we assume we might understand what we are doing. We don't understand fully 100,000 line code programs. We don't even document them fully in order to save time and costs. This is the model we must look to for a production scenario. And it is scary.
