Franco, Mussolini and Hitler would be very comfortable with Trumps tactics to put us on the road to fascism. Attack institutions, threaten violence to those who disagree, deny the truth and replace it. Instill fear and loathing toward othrs who are different. I could go on. But yu get the idea.

@GSPV33 It's true that control of guns is an element. But the left isn't talking about doing away with them. Most countries around the world have far stricter gun laws that the left in the US is proposing, and they are not fascist. Censorship of free speech is a youth phenomenon, and primarily on college campuses. I happen to work at a university and we (faculty and staff, alumni and students) work hard to make for an open and safe environment for all. I think this is a generational thing that will pass but who knows. The main problem with your viewpoint is that fascism requires a strongman. The left has no one in or who can fill that spot. Clearly Trump sees himself as one, and he cavorts with other dictators. The eye opener for many people I know was when Trump made the comment about having th police, armey and biker gangs on "his side' should the left get out of line. The only thing that surprised me about that wa him not mentioning the Charlottesville ganges. I think you raise some very good poits and show that nothing is black and white.
