  1. Wonderful presenter and presentation. But I am left wondering why we heard nothing about whole genome analysis. Wouldn't this would provide a test of the age and the relationship of these beings to contemporary humans?

  2.  @julieannmyers8714  It turns out that some parts of the inner ear are good repositories of DNA. But they don't often get a complete genome. Sometimes they will build a composite from several samples. Sometimes they fall back on statistical techniques. This isn't my field but I surmise that asking population and descent questions allows more leeway than asking about individuals.
