  5. NO absolutely not. The challenger doesn't use NATO ammo ( unlike the Leopards ) and 10 tanks that can only use their own ammo is of very little use in the scheme of things. Also a tank is only as good as the crew that mans it and how it's deployed. The Ukrainians have plenty of tanks in storage ( as well as captured) that could be sent to Poland/ west for refurbishment and then put into action. These can be manned with experienced crews and ammos available... losing a few Nlaws to the Russians isn't a big loss. losing a Chall2 is.. and besides we should be upgrading all our Chall 2s to 3s.

  7. Bearing in mind Russia's lackadaisical attitude to just about everything, your analogy seems to be very plausible. I can't see how deliberately blowing up the dam benfits Russia as most the flooding would be on the Crimean side. Maybe if the Ukrainians had pushed into the Crimea as part of their offensive it might have had a benefit.
