Arab countries seem to cope alright...but yes the population growth is the main problem..as it is with most other things ..housing, health care, education etc, etc ,etc.

Old buildings aren't suitable unless you improve the insulating and glazing to the property which all adds to the cost.. with Parliament it would cost an absolute fortune and be a nightmare to install... probably cheaper to knock it down and rebuild from scratch...with the MPs in it.

China can undercut any tarrif the US imposes but the US can't undercut China...   60. They say "Prison doesn't work".. True, because they don't make it work. It is becoming a token gesture nothing more. I would have an incremental sentencing scheme..each time you go to prison your sentence doubles ( ie 1 yr ,then 2, then 4,then 8 years), no early release or parole, misbehave inside sentence increased..it has been proven that longer sentences for repeat offenders works...those on 4yrs + sentences least likely to re offend.
