  1. It was Palestine in 1946....not Israel... "Jewish fighters" as you say , Jewish terrorists as everyone else ( especially the Palestinians) would say. As for Cyprus or any other colonial country it was the people of that country overthrowing the British for self rule....the majority of Jews arrived in Palestine under British rule.
