I disagree about it being the same as it was in the past... I remember a scene from Andrew Marrs BBC series about Britain, and it showed marchers in the early 70s carrying placards with the N word ( yes that word I can't print !). And he said that 'we find this shocking and unacceptable today". Old comedy programmes never get repeated, from Alf Garnett, "It Ain't Half hot mum" up to more recently Little Britain and the League of Gentlemen. Why ? because someone might be offended. Even stating the fact a man can not be a woman gets you cancelled or a visit from the police, as with Posie Parker.. Yes free speech comes with responsibility.. likewise it's the responsibility of the viewer or listener as to whether they might be offended.

@Alex Woland - absolutely right. When someone (i didn't want to misgender Kier Starmer by calling him a man) who wants to be leader of the Country can't admit that only women have a cervix in case it offends those men who don't have a cervix... You know it's a problem.
