  1. You are spot on....the govt needs its money to squander and all that fuel duty will have to be made up from EVs... We pay a surcharge on our utility bills to subsidise the wind turbines especially when its not windy..so yep its all a con.

  2. I think there will be a letting up on Euro7. The European car industry is being strangled by the EU net zero regulations. And the only ones benefitting are the Chinese not the European manufacturers. The situation with Russia and the US trade tariffs will hopefully make the EU realise where their priorities should be instead of the blinkered ideology they've put ahead of common sense.

  5. Politicians can't admit when they get it wrong, so they soldier on with it wasting billions ( look at HS2) . Net Zero is absolute madness, it's like they're trying to win a race that no one else is really bothered about winning. And destroying our steel industry, motor manufacturing capability and economy along the way.. hybrids are what would have given them some credibility..but no, they can't deviate from the unachievable plan.
